Author Spotlight: Charles Vaught
Throughout his life Charles has held numerous job titles - gut slinger, associate producer, bartender, mailman, marijuana industry manual laborer, wildland firefighter, ESL teacher, reforestation technician, but it is the title of author that he holds closest to his heart.
Charles is the author of State of Fire, a creative nonfiction book about his experiences as a wildland firefighter. He is also author of Northern Jaeger, a memoir about his time spent working as a commercial fisherman on the Bering Sea.
Charles' next writing projects include a book about his years spent teaching English as a second language in Vietnam, as well as a horror movie screenplay. He will also be adding filmmaker to his laundry list of job titles.
